Sediment
Grabs the big stuff — dirt, rust, grit. Does the dirty work so the rest don't have to.
Granular carbon
Chlorine, weird smells, chemicals. This is the one you'll actually taste.

Same idea as the last one, but fussier. It catches the finer chemical traces and odd tastes that slipped past.
UF membrane
The main event. The gaps are hundreds of times thinner than a human hair, so bacteria and bits of plastic simply can’t fit through.

What changed in V2
Two upgrades.

Nothing was broken. We redesigned it anyway. This is what happens when engineers are left unsupervised.
This one is a brushed swan neck with a lever you flick, and it has opinions about your kitchen. Same water, same job, considerably more smug about it.
A membrane you can flush.
Every filter clogs eventually. That isn’t a design flaw, it’s the entire job description. It is standing between you and things you’d rather not swallow, and it is losing that fight slowly on your behalf.
Most cartridges clog once and that’s the end of the relationship. This one you can flush: send water back the other way and the gunk on the surface gives up and leaves. Do that now and then and it keeps going for one to two years instead of quietly throttling your flow while you blame the municipality.
The honest bit
So why not just get reverse osmosis?
Brilliant, but thirsty
RO squeezes water through a very fine membrane, and to manage it, throws some of your water down the drain. It also strips out the good minerals along with the bad stuff. On borehole or salty water that's exactly what you want — and yes, we sell those too.
Same clean, nothing binned
This one works off your normal tap pressure. The gaps are small enough that bugs and tiny bits of plastic can't squeeze through, but the minerals carry on to your glass. No drain pipe, and no tank hogging half the cupboard.
On borehole or well water? Get a SANS 241 water test done first — that's the standard lab test for drinking water. We'd rather sell you the right thing than the wrong thing twice.
